Our team
Founded in 2023 after its conception in 2021, SafeHouseMade is an independent record label and collective established by Mat Bakari & Jefe. Built on the principle of releasing high quality music independently, reaching the fans directly, and retaining ownership, the label embodies a vertically integrated approach inspired and is scaling up to create a lot of buzz soon We are a full-service organization, dedicated to supporting our artists through comprehensive management, publishing, touring, production, brand development, and more.
Our history
SafeHouseMade began as a vision sketched on a whiteboard, born out of a brainstorming session between Boog and his friends in their apartment. The first concept was "Cookies and Creme," but after further thought, the name "SafeHouse" emerged, evolving into what is now known as SafeHouseMade. Initially focused on hustle and dedication, the label has grown through time, effort, and strategic planning, transforming into something truly special.

Ubuntu Independence. Everybody Eats embodies the principle of ensuring economic self-sufficiency and fostering community wealth. Our mission is to keep money circulating within our team on a micro level and within the broader community on a macro level. It’s about championing independence and ensuring the dollar remains within our community for as long as possible. We believe in taking risks and betting on the home team and the underdog, with the goal of empowering each other, uplifting our neighborhoods, and building a stronger, self-sufficient community together.

Our inaugural studio, was opened up in 2021 and has been open for work and utilized. boogie's been the one using it predominantly but we are sure to get more work in and open it up for work as we scale and grow.
